Beirut Arab University recently announced the establishment of the Rajab and Siham Jubaili Foundation Scholarship in the presence of Executive Chairman of Jubaili Group, Rajab Jubaili; BAU President Professor Wael Abdelsalam; Secretary General Dr. Omar Houri; Director of the Media Center Mrs. Abeer Ghazal; Director of Registration Mr. Ghassan Hamdan; Head of the Jubaili Family Office Ralph Sayah; and Education Program Director of the Rajab and Siham Jubaili Foundation, Ibrahim Jouhari.
This initiative reflects the foundation’s longstanding commitment to education, community empowerment, and sustainable development—values deeply rooted in the Jubaili family’s multigenerational legacy in agriculture. The scholarship also embodies the principles that have guided the family’s contributions to society for more than eight decades.
Rajab Jubaili is a Lebanese entrepreneur and agribusiness leader whose family has worked closely with Lebanese farmers since 1944, providing agricultural expertise and agrochemical solutions. Throughout his leadership journey, he pursued a vision of modernizing and expanding the family business into a globally recognized agribusiness enterprise.
In 2002, he founded Jubaili Agrotec Group in Nigeria, a pivotal step toward realizing that vision. As founder and executive chairman, he oversaw the group’s expansion across West and East Africa, building a farmer-centric model focused on sustainability, knowledge transfer, and long-term local partnerships. Today, the company operates in Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Ivory Coast, and Zambia.
Guided by the belief that “a sustainable future can only be achieved by building strong relationships with farmers, understanding their needs, and providing them with the highest quality products and services,” Jubaili has successfully combined business growth with meaningful social impact—an approach that continues to shape his philanthropic work.
Based in London, Rajab and his wife, Siham Jubaili, established the Rajab and Siham Jubaili Foundation to advance education, support the arts, and strengthen institutions. The foundation collaborates with universities in Lebanon and Nigeria, contributes to infrastructure development initiatives, and champions emerging Lebanese and African artists through partnerships with leading international art institutions and auction houses.
Establishing a scholarship at Beirut Arab University reflects the founders’ deep connection to Lebanon and their conviction that education is a gateway to opportunity and social progress. The scholarship is designed to support talented students from underprivileged backgrounds in Saida and surrounding areas, a region that holds special significance for Rajab Jubaili.
